There are now companies that are doing clinical trials in India........

As someone who works in the research field I have to voice some concern over the entire issue.
These trials should be completed under the strictest of standards and generally are done with that compliance level.

Also, one can never be fully certain about various side effects until any drug has been used in thousands of people. It's financially impossible to conduct trials in that many individuals............our drugs are already too expensive.

Releasing the drug into the general population is the best way to do a clinical trial but only after much safety and efficacy and Phase III large clinicals have been completed.
