Israel must determine what is most important for Israel. Often its interests and America's interests have much commonality. But not always. That's not quite correct, imho. Even though there may be no "commonality" at times, there always are forces that will influence or steer America towards Israeli interests and objectives and there are forces in the US that will oblige because of the US vested interests in the region, or for self-serving reasons in a political way at home. .
