IMO Jesus would be primarily concerned with the poor and downtrodden but I believe he would update his message to include civil liberties against an oppressive law-and-order corrupt militaristic government. He would not appreciate a nation which supposedly follows his teachings waging a war of choice against a cousin religion on behalf of the state and its war profiteering masters. God is pro stem cell research. God provides humans with brains and curiosity. That's what I've heard although sometimes I wonder about the brains in some people.
