It's amusing that so many people run around talking about the price of Iraqi freedom, and how it's all worth it- but they aren't willing to pay the price to keep the US free. I find that bizarre, but then so much of human life is bizarre, why should this be any different? (Or should we say they've decided to pay the price of safety, by ignoring the cost of freedom? You really can't have both in any meaningful way, but to pay for safety with freedom, when you are fighting wars overseas to spread "freedom" to the world, is just crazy. I would think the cognitive dissonance of that would make people's heads explode.)
