As long as D.C. continues to be run the way it is run today, politicians will continue to be the sleazy shiesters that they are.

But the courts and Free Speech crowds have been fairly successful at keeping the status quo. I almost think an Amendment is the only way to reform Congressional behavior.

The Republicans run ALL the comittees, have all the power - the Dems are eunuchs. Read up on Delay's "K street project". You're the one showing your ignorance of the way Washington works.
