Defend the Republican Senate?

I said Republicans; not just the Senate.

Point out when I've defended them?

You don't have to say it......its very evident in your attitude. Like when you say there is equivalent corruption among the Dems. That is nowhere near the truth. There is corruption among the Dems but by comparison, the GOP makes them look like boy scouts.

They are covered in manure and I'd post those articles here, if all of you hadn't already done so. However, in your zeal to judge and prosecute the Republicans, you conveniently fail to acknowledge that the same level of corruption is happening among your own Democratic brethren.

No, it isn't. NO, IT IS NOT! Dem corruption is no where near the same. During the past two years, GOP corruption has been noted in many places throughout this country.......Ohio, Connecticut, WA state, San Diego, CA, Kentucky, TX, FLA.....just to name a few. Numerous Republicans are indicted or have been found guilty of wrongdoing. Why do you think Americans are so disgusted? Respect for the GOP has dropped significantly in the past year. Why don't you know this? And for the record, I am not just talking Congress.

Stop being so naive. What's wrong with this Congress has perhaps been brought into the limelight by a Bush administration that has flaunted their disregard for following the laws of this country, but those flaws in our Congress existed long before Bush came into office and they will continue when he is gone, unless we flush it clean and pass laws that DRAMATICALLY limit the power of lobbyists, PACs, and butterboys. This whole system of government is broken.

This is not business as usual. There is a corruption so deep in the GOP it is smelling up the joint and befouling our most august of institutions. People proudly voted for Bush and his cronies inspite of the fact that had they been paying attention, they would have seen how evil they were. And now I worry that in the GOP's desperateness to hold onto power, they will eliminate this democracy. They have the power to do so. And if that happens, it will be because of the ignorance of those stupid cows who voted them into power.
