Question for you neolib. I've often thought about why we are pushing for a pluralistic society where kurds, sunnis, and shias are forced to live together. If they hare each other so much, why are we telling them they must live together? It's because we kowtowing to whatever allies we have in the region. So my theory is that if we let the dominos fall now, maybe there will be civil war, but maybe the aftermath will be more solid because the outcome will be alot more final. There's nothing worse than a region that simmers for 50 years, but resolves nothing. Think Israel and Palestine.
