"To elucidate you, a "modification" of a warrant is not a denial"

Thanks JF. I thought the words modification and denial were exactly the same. What would I do without you?

"In fact, one of the judges quit in protest."

But 10 stayed on, and the head judge knew about the program (and she stayed on).

"Why don't you see if you can get her to publish her evidence for that?"

She's a political satirist. Doesn't look like you refuted her statistics, and they are different than what those against the President had been saying.

I appreciate that you gave a thoughtful response though. Can you answer me these two questions?

Do you think Bush broke the law with this program?

If yes, what do you think his motivation to break the law was?

I personally believe he thought they were legal, and that he feared even if only a few got denied, they might be the ones that would end up in disaster for us (or having us miss getting someone). I do know enough about this now that I can see how people would think he broke the law in a technical nature (although I do not think he did), but I cannot see why anybody who supports America could call for impeachment or compare it to the type of spying Nixon did on his political foes.

Thanks JF.
