Gus > China's Africa railway is engine of trade growth

Very interesting. Actually I had forgotten it's now part of the pan-African system of railways and one can travel on it from SA in a very expensive train going all the way from Cape Town to Dar-es-Salaam.

>>The beautifully restored Rovos Rail trains combine the opulence of pre-war travel with subtle modern innovations. Also known as the Edwardian Safari, this 13 day epic journey takes you through South Africa, Zimbabwe, Zambia and Tanzania. You take in the attractions of Kimberley, Pretoria, the Kruger Park, Bulawayo, Victoria Falls, Lusaka, the Luangwa Valley and the incredible Tanzam railway into the historical city of Dar Es Salaam.<<
