Peres wisely suports the Olmert interim term because he already made his move prior to Sharon's unfortunate illness and Olmert has been groomed by Sharon for the last few years to ensure his longevity.

Let's see if Sharon can make it back to a wheelchair and give a press conference.

Retirement is probably not in his plan if he recovers.
