That's the dilemma - you can have Pelosi and Dean et al screeching and howling at Bush, but you won't win over that many people in the center. Just doesn't work when it comes time to go to the voting booth. The issues are how to make FISA work and strengthen our security, managing the other items you mentioned better and convincing the electorate you will really do what you promised before the election. I am still waiting to see which Democrat, if any, will emerge as the party's leader on a platform like that. It may never happen.
