Okay. I get it. But what I don't understand is how to correlate prior moves (the big flat from 1999-200(1) to the current without considering the fractal nature of events. Perhaps a picture would do me better...
(Although, I know you are much smarter than me, and I appreciate it, believe me... I just draw lines....)

Some BIG LINES:

What an impulse!

These are trends, or something more, as Mr. Poindexter knows, having interpreted them for our TIA (Total Information Awareness) Program... politics counts!

Break over and the goal is 15,200.00.
Sick; isn't it?!

I must add that this is a very old chart. Not updated. Not particularly paid attention to. Must admit, I am convinced of it, even against my actual investments.

I am convinced that we can see the future through charting so far in advance that we disbelieve. Smarties know when to trust their instincts, in spite of their fundamental knowledge.

Peaceful Evening,
illyia

(Might add, as caveat, that the Stochastics are rare. So rare, in fact, that they would capture my near-term attention.)

I must add that I had a merry olde evening, and, while wishing you e-wavers all well, am not up to posting all my evidence for my conclusions.

Thank you and good night. [Fireworks here]

(P.S. It could also depend on the degree considered... eh?
or, a iii of 3... eek!)

As of today.....

Yep. And as of the past couple of days, the ED on SPX - if counted from the same reference points - doesn't "work" either.

This choppy ED-ish structure may yet turn out to be a springboard for all kinds of irrational exuberance.... -g. In any case, I would not short it without serious evidence that it is falling apart. At the very least, imo, the Jan 3 low must be taken out before any bearish thoughts can be even considered.
