I just don't see the current course as sustainable, for us or them. The Chinese already tried to get the Bushies to step up to the fiscal plate and show a little prudence by threatening this before, but they've done nothing. Greenspan has warned them, and they've done nothing. I don't think the Chinese are going to completely stop buying our bonds, I think they're going to cut back and put us in a world of hurt. The Chinese are in the driver's seat economically, and the Bushies have put them there. It will cost us both, but they are the main future beneficiaries. They have a lot of their OWN consumers now.
