It would be nice to see what the multiples have been over say 30-40 years in places like SF and NYC. I do know growing up in NYC it was very affordable in the 70's and early 80's. You could buy a 2 story brownstone in the $50-60k range and easily get close to $1k per month rent on two apartments.
