Ted, I think that study is flawed. No city in the OC is mentioned until Santa Ana, CA, which is practically the barrio.

If anything, Santa Ana might be the only city in Orange County where first-time home buyers can afford to live.


Look at the heading......its for metro areas. Since Santa Ana is the county seat for the OC, they are calling the OC the Santa Ana metro area. Some studies do it that way while others call it the OC. Its hard because the OC is not really a metro area like LAX or SFO. BTW most of the studies that call it the OC are based in the OC. No respectable OC'r wants anyone to think that Santa Ana represents the county. <g>
