I too have told people the same however I found people on both sides of the border seem to poo-poo the idea.
A few years ago while in camping in upper BC (boondocking), comments from a nighttime economic discussion with a few BC'ers, "I convert my $C to $US every chance I get." "I always try to listen to Kudlow & Cramer".
