Bushies are spying on Quaker peace groups, vegetarians, environmentalists and anyone who questioned their lies about about the WMD and God knows what other creepy agendae. If you think this is just about counter-terrorism you're naive.

You think the outing of Valerie Plame was something isolated? It was part of the pattern. Anyone who threatened to expose their lies, they'd go after. The same way Nixon had Kerry surveiled for two years in 1971. Which by the way, proved Kerry did nothing wrong and the smearvets are total liars.

...only calls to foreign territory are heard, no more, no less.

Dan, you are telling lies. The calls are often domestic calls. US to US.

Nixon ordered illegal wire taps for political purposes. He broke the law. For this he was impeached and resigned.

Imagine if Nixon had the super computers over at NSC in those days? He wouldn't have had to put on a wire tap. Simply sort through all calls coming from the DNC, or any of the calls to numbers that had a connection with the DNC. All that would take is one well placed person at the NSC.

Do you think that Nixon would have hesitated to use this against his political enemies?

Now take Bush. This administration is the most secretive since Nixon. Do you trust Bush and his cronies not to use this super access to every phone call and email in America against their political enemies? I certainly don't trust Bush and his cronies when it comes to counting votes!

Personally I don't trust any politician...and that is why we must have the procedures in place for regulating spying activities. That is what the law must be followed.

Bush broke the law...he spied on Americans. For this crime and others...he must be impeached.
