Nerds -which are usefull- are depicted in the media as guys with unkempt hair, laboring in a cellar. Surfists -which are uterly useless- are shown as healthy, fit with a glamorous life style. Put your average Bill Gates equivalent of today and the suntanned surfist side by side and see which will attract the greater number of females. Offer the nerd and the surfist each their choice of a suductive luscious young lady or a highly intelligent but ugly young lady for two hours of fun and frolic. Which would they chose. A while ago, I decided that politics is doing what so many jobs do = they go feminine. School teaching used to be male, then became female. Bank tellers were male, now female. Politics is no longer an adventurous swash-buckling business of conquest and exploring the world, it's like a house in which we live and women run the house while blokes mess about in the shed or go hunting wildebeest at the golf course or in cyberspace. Government is becoming a female occupation. Sissy men go into politics. Soon, they'll realize it's for women and do something more manly. Government will expand as women take over [which it has done by their votes for more of it] until democracy rebalances around a new norm with men and a few women resisting further encroaches onto the bloke's world of freedom to be blokes. New Zealand is leading the world in the process as it led in giving women the vote in the first place. Now, women run the place, with the Queen, Governor General, Prime Minister, Speaker of the House, Chief Justice and Telecom boss and a lot more besides being women. They hold ALL the levers of power and decision. It's the first time in human history. The USA is heading more slowly in the same direction. Note Condoleezza Rice running the show while King George II pretends to be the boss. Note the deference she gets everywhere around the world as male politicians instinctively acknowledge they are in a losing position. Note Hillary Clinton waiting in the wings. It's a good thing. The era of constant warfare using excess young males due to high birth rates is over. Women aren't good at war and we don't need it now anyway. They can do it, but it's like Maggie Thatcher in response to aggression by Argentina, and they win because they have morality on their side, not thieving conquest. Mqurice
