That depends, how high is the semi market going to go in the coming years? And is a 4 point rally after a 5 year drought overkill?

Hi RtS,

Normally yes.

This is a pretty special market. We are in the middle of a very large sector rotation, with global stockmarkets out performing the American markets for over a year.

That being said, global markets are on new high breakouts as well.

I think we'll see this carry higher for a while (into well overbought) and then we'll see a dip that will be more volatile than what we're used to also.

Equities are in play - they're gaining in popularity.I hope they are far from topping, but I'm getting a sense we'll see more volatility both up and down.

TOO many breakouts and old resistances getting surpassed not to give the market its credit.

The good old days of bottom feeding may be over.

From here on, I hope we must sell at overbought double tops with negative divergences in Macd and marginal new highs in price, and then wait for fib retraces or ceilings that act as supports.

It is a more dangerous time - better for those that are nimble and that is my worst trait.

Must admit, it is fun to see SOX breakout and Amat is actually providing some leadership - IT HAS BEEN a LOOONNGGG TIME!

JMHO
