Only if your monitor is DVI capable. That is by far the sharpest choice.

What's happening now is your card is converting the digital video signal in your computer to analog, then your monitor is converting the analog signal back to digital, so a lot gets lost. DVI is digital all the way...like your laptop.

Much clearer. Worth returning the monitor if possible, IMO.

OT another thing you want to make sure of with LCD is that you keep it in it's native resolution. CRT's stayed pretty sharp with whatever resolution you wanted. LCD's look alot worse outside their native resolution.
