14:36 CCJ Cameco: Color on stock action (73.07 +2.61)

As the crisis regarding Iran's nuclear weapons program comes to a head today, we note that uranium stocks CCJ +3.6% and USU +2.4% are showing notable strength. In addition, we note that this morning the NRC reported nuclear power plants available for service are currently able to produce 95,798 megawatts, or 95.9% of capacity - up 2.9% y/y. The momentum in the nuclear energy field has generated a lot of interest in operators from Exelon (EXC), Duke Energy (DUK), Entergy (ETR) to the producers. CCJ is the stock seeing institutional accumulation today, as it is the go-to uranium play. This Canadian co has world class assets and some of the highest grade uranium deposits, accounting for 20% of world's total production. CCJ derives 50% of revenues from uranium, 13% from gold mining, and 37% from electricity generation.
