If protecting ourselves from every possible event from every possible enemy means dismantling a fundamental part of our freedom, we should all be very, very uncomfortable. Unless we are ready to turn our back on 200+ years of trying to build the world's foremost democracy - because it was too dangerous.

The people who called the Constitution a mutual suicide pact after 9/11 made we want to puke.

How so if you get the warrant after?

That just doesn't make any sense.

So are enemies bigger and badder than criminals? Seems to me "criminals" kill a lot more people than "enemies" do or are likely to. So what's the deal with your fear of "enemies" and your blase tolerance of criminals? Seems to me your risk decoder ring may have the settings a little funny on this one.
