I went for a nice exercise walk this morning. Hit the
road at 4:40 AM.

Weren't many people out needless to say.

I think I saw 4 cars between then and 5:30.
No one but me and the road.
I was starting to feel hard-core. Ooh-rah!

(Mind you, not too hard-core because I was walking, not
running. But at least let's say I felt less soft-core than
usual.)

The moon was partially full and I probably didn't really
need my flashlight but I brought it anyway to scare off
the hundreds of evil furry critters out there looking to
ambush me. (It's actually so the cars can see me and so
I can point it every plastic bag crackling in the breeze
doing its raccoon impersonation.)

It was so nice walking out there. The temp was in the mid
forties I'd say and the moon was low so every little pond
or stream I past by glistened with diamonds.

I drive down this road every single day but never saw it
just like this. It was magnificent. Perhaps I can get the
next seven or eight more mornings like this. After that I
imagine it is gonna be pretty dark walking around at that
hour.

But perhaps the stars will be rather bright to look at.

It was a pleasant way to start my day.
