11:24 RFMD RF Micro Device at Needham Conference (6.30 -0.15) -Update-

In Dec and March forecast 6th and 7th straight quarter of growth in receivers... GPS handsets will be a major driver of growth in first half of calendar 2006... expect growth in 2006 growth will come from Edge and GPS; co is leveraging position in power amplifiers to gain market share in receivers... wireless LAN connectivity business unit: expect to grow in market as they take share in amplifiers; expecting growth in Qualcomm business... macro trend in wireless is that customers are demanding more applications, while suppliers are looking at for fewer companies to work with, looking for one stop shops to serve customers need... co says strength continues to be in core business (power amplifiers) but has become leading producer of front end modules for the handset industry; another reason for being optimistic of growth opportunities is that investment business have grown rapidly (300% y/y, includes polaris, bluetooth, GPS)... expect March will be a strong quarter for Polaris products... continues to ramp Edge chipset in conjunction with MOT... says supply chain is set to meet 'lofty' expectations of its customers... notes they outsource their silicon production... overall profitability: goal for operating income is 15% sales; believe they are making progress towards that goal... believe they can layer on revenue; believe margin improvement will continue as time progresses.
