How can anyone believe that Jesus and his disciples gave First Century Christians false hope? They were being flayed alive, crucified, being eaten for sport by wild animals all because they refused to recant from their eternal hope that Christ was coming during their generation as promised.

Several of us have posted hundreds of verses as proof that Jesus was coming during that generation. You call us heretics and say that we pull verses out of text and all such nonsense. There are books out that say that Jesus lied and you, who have been indoctrinated by lies and false promises encourage those who state that simply because they see it and you fail to address it.

Christ returned in 70 AD as he promised, as he stated in The Holy Bible, incarnating all Old Testament believers and those who were his followers to eternal glory.

If you would study the Word instead of following false teachers you would see it too.

The Lord knows we have tried to show you the light of God but you refuse to approach his Word with an open searching mind. For that reason I am not going through it again. You may die in your ignorance.

James

"If Jesus Christ came back in AD 70—corporately, invisibly, symbolically, spiritually or however—why didn’t anybody notice? Why hasn’t history recorded this cosmic event?

They did notice. It has been recorded. See all the quotes from Josephus, Eusebius, and Tacitus, and Yosippon that we have listed below in answer to the question on 1 Thess. 4:16-18. The problem is, no one reads history with spiritual discernment. We are making the same mistake the Jews did. They were looking for a physical king and materialistic kingdom. They missed the spiritual kingdom Christ established. People today are missing the spiritual kingdom for exactly the same reason: they are looking for a physical paradise and fleshly, materialistic fulfillments. The kingdom is here now, we just need to open our eyes and realize it." -Edward E. Stevens
