The real reason for invading Iraq was to restore the US dollar hegemony as Iraq had priced its oil in Euros since late 2000 and there was a danger that others might follow in Iraq's footsteps. Now, Iran is committing an even bigger "sin", not with its nuclear program, which will take many years before it is any threat to the region, let alone the US, but by opening an oil trading exchange in March that will allow oil trading in Euros.

The most pragmatic approach would be for the US to compromise with the EU and OPEC and work towards a dual-currency system for international oil trades. That might cause some small and short-term economic hardships but would be preferable to launching an expensive and bloody "Operation Iranian Freedom" (again with no exit strategy, of course).

I also am sure that Dumbya will bungle up Iran as well. He attacked one country and turned it into a haven for opium growers and attacked another country, a secular one, and turned it into a Shiite theocracy. So there you have it -- a flawless track record! ;-)

I can't guess exactly in what way Dumbya will mess up the Iran invasion, but there are many ways in which he can and I am very sure that he will!
