Well.. without going into details.. it was my "OPINION" that there's a good chance that Iran is shipping quite a bit of hardware, as well as infiltrating hundreds (thousands?) of intelligence and IRGC personnel into Iraq.

But the question is whether this is to facilitate another shot at taking over Najaf and Karbala, or merely cacheing arms in anticipation of a civil war with the Sunnis...

Also saw some discussions about Mahdi Army folks taking on the Badr Corps, which led me to believe that maybe MAS was also developing a nationalist bent.

Btw, have you heard of an Iraqi cleric by the approximate name of Al Kharadei? I recall reading somewhere that he was one of the primary supporters of MAS, although he was, himself, living in Iran.
