My experience is with covered calls. If I were going to write call options I would look further out as I would not want to lose the stock at 7.50

For a call writer, the 7.50 options are not lucrative enough for January.

From the buy side I have no idea--------do you buy the 7.50 at 5 cents and then sell them for 10 or 15 cents or a little more?
