I am not sure, but is 3.1X sales a "peak multiple"? Certainly does not sound like one to me.

I don't follow that closely but there seems to be quite a spread over the last 5 days - Cymer should be somewhat helpful to "calibrate".
There's also a difference between chasing and selling.
The 12 Euro target seems to be kind out of line - almost like Fitz $14 target for AMAT.
We seem to always try to make a correlation between upgrade/downgrade and how stock price reacts to call. It's human to search for a reason. I think many times it's random how stock price reacts to an upgrade or downgrade.

One can always come up with reasons for upgrade or downgrade -
"slowing order growth" seems to be the favorite for sell side guys.
ABN projects 24 months down he road but was unable to determine short term demand until now.
I don't think this helps - ultimately you have make the call.
Though I try to avoid trading I decided to establish a trading portion while keeping the core to take advantage of short term up and downs.
Unless you have sniper skills like sixtyseconds a shotgun could be very efficient as well.

I take this price action as the shake out before the run up.

Is not ASML under capacity constraints?

Hasn't their immersion lithography blown by both Cannon and Nikon?

These guys are winning market share and your staring a final shakeout in the face - Hold with confidence and buy more if you can!!
