Been stung a gazillion times but the most memorable all involve drinking them down out of a beer usually while golfing. Really unpleasant being stung inside the mouth.

I've been stung by a bunch of different critters, but my most memorable happened shortly after I graduated with a degree in Forestry. Went to work for State of Florida as Forest Ranger. There was a forest fire near a small subdivision near Bradenton and I was walking behind the fire plow making sure the fire lane was clear. The plow dug up a ground hornets nest and they made a direct bee-line for me. Got popped about 8 times on the leg and then I ran like hell and jumped through the fire thinking they wouldn't go through the smoke. I was wrong. On the other side was a big group of spectators (mostly kids on bikes) and a TV news crew. I went flying past them and the news guy yells out "are you burned?" I yell, "no, hornets". I jump in the truck and close door and about that time I see TV camera go flying in the air. Kids screaming and running. It was pretty humorous, even though my leg swelled up and they had to cut my pants off.
