No kiddin.....was not THAT long ago that a "private" line was a luxury....most had party lines. Of course then, our parents were not worried about who was listening, as they had no fatdrunkKennedy to "look out" for them......

Good point! Our Founding Fathers did not have ANY concept of personal privacy or individual liberty --- I'm sure they would have WELCOMED the King's men into every private area of their lives, all *without* any judicial oversight at all.

That's just the kind of guys they were: BIG FANS OF DICTATORS AND AUTOCRATS and GOVERNMENT INTRUSION into PRIVATE LIVES!
