The country lost today. And the truth lost as well. But nothing could be done. Alito would have to have been an idiot to tell the truth. All he had to do was BS, spin, refuse to answer and coverup his real views and there could be no filibuster. We can only hope he has left his imperial government, racist and sexist ideals behind him. I also think we should all be insulted by Enron Ed Gillespie and the Bushies for staging that phony crying session by Mrs. Alito. The Bushies made a mockery of our Constitution by staging the hearing as if it were some kind of partisan puppet show. Good for Senator Biden for calling it what it was, a worthless exercise that did not serve the peoples' interest whatsoever. Sodium penothal would have worked much better. Now we'll never know who Alito really is until maybe too late. None of us will.
