I said world leader. Margret Thatcher fought a war with Argentina (Falkan Islands) Indria ghandi with Pakistan Golda Meir fought war though defensive in natue. Angela Merkel has hardly held the job long enough to take a deep breath. Jenny Shipley New Zealand is hardly a world leader sorry to say. Nice place though very scenic. Benazir Bhutto, war with india New Zealand has indeed pawned off its security to Australia and the USA, though as you state your Island status does give you a security much as Switzerlands mountains give them. Plus not a lot of economic resources to make it worthwhile. (No Oil) r
