In your reflex to judge me negatively once again, you conflated two sequences. You and e were having an exchange where she asserted that people send other people's children to war. There were a couple of posts in that exchange where you nagged her for a link to where anyone on SI had done that. I anticipated it growing tiresome so I offered you a link, instead, figuring that e would judge your request silly given how many thousands of qualifying posts there are on SI and how many of them were your own. So I tried to abort that process by offering you a link, myself. Here's your demand for a link.Message 22055907 And here is my offer of a link.Message 22055980 And here is your reponse to my offer of a link where you ask what it has to do with the Patriot Act.Message 22056066 And here is my response where I said it wasn't about the Patriot Act and tried to steer you back to the correct sequence.Message 22056167 You did not respond to that post. Instead you responded to another post, one in the other sequence, the "disruptor" sequence, where you had the audacity to instruct me on your (incorrect) sequence. You are correct at least in recognizing that my patience is wearing thin. You have been on SI for a long time. I should not have to instruct you on how to use the message number link and the "read replies" link to follow sequences backwards and forwards. And I should not have to remind you to read the seques to get the context of my responses. Or to read my messages before your respond to them, for that matter. Ordinarily I would not presume to "instruct" any other poster on such things but you keep going off track and then get argumentative when I try to restore your focus. You and I have been doing this for a very long time I'm really tired of it. Yesterday TP brought to my attention that I had the wrong segue on a post to him, one that I realized when I checked out his comment had gotten stuck in my clipboard. I explained to him what had happened and apologized. We all make mistakes. When they are pointed out, we go back and figure out what happened, explain and apologize, and move on. We don't get defensive and argumentative. Apologies to Dale for letting this slop over onto his thread. Hopefully this will be the end of it.
