Very interesting - the hardware and OEM advantage may be fleeting for XM.

Stern show talking about how easy it is to convert from XM to SIRIUS. Car looks the same and it's getting easier with some new converter to come out very soon.

Agree. Consider the progression from basic radio to radio and tapes-----to radio, tape, and hidden CD changers(what I have)now------to Satellite with multiple choices.

Do hope they retain the capability though of inserting personal CD's in the units and listening to regular radio also. Don't think regular radio will disappear completely----still will have local stations that our non Satellite---jmho

Technology and transitions take time----but think this is very, very likely.
