Clapper,

<Hmm... Perhaps a few cyber workout partners too...

We can help motivate each other.

Whattaya think? Are you into it?>

Sure, that's a great idea - little peer pressure to make sure we are working out.

The x-trainer I am using is an eliptical machine, has lots of different modes - hills, cardio, fat burn, random etc. It works arms and legs. I have a place that is brand new with a fitness center (a client school) where I can go almost every day - great deal - lots of different equipment... they let me use it any time I want.

My plan is to develop strength and flexibility plus drop about 10-15 pounds for the golf season. Trying to work diet too but I never get anywhere with just working the diet alone.

Have been at this since late November - starting to see some results.

A little cyber motivation will help a lot.

Did you here someone say "Don't drop the Chalupa!" Was that Polvy?

i've been trying to get to the
gym at the rec centre three times
a week to use the stationary bike
but haven't been able to stick
with it very well.

for example, i should be there now
but here i sit exercising my fingers
instead.

i don't know how cyber buddies will
work.

JackassLaLanne-

coincidentally, i got in pretty fair shape on my
adventure downsouth. dropped a few pounds and
limbered up quite a bit. life as a sailor could
be a good workout for anyone...

ms. k has had a gym membership for herself and ms. b
for a few months but they were pretty lax about using
it... while i was gone kath hit the gym pretty regularly.
she lost 10 pounds. bridget didn't go at all.

so when i got back kath dropped ms. b's membership
and signed me up in her place. i've been going with
kath every other day since then...

so i'm already on the PLAN stan.

my favorite part is the sauna and the hot tub...
but i do ride the lifecycle for about 250 calories
first (that's worth a couple of beers, eh?)

CTH has a fundraiser coming up in april. what do you
say we each throw in $100 in april. if any of us stop
working out before then, he/she won't be allowed to
chip in. ok? <g>
