Can a religion based on tolerance which is committing demographic suicide survive in a world where an intolerant religion is producing an excess of population? Can it when the intolerant religion is bent on world domination and extermination of "infidels"? Arabs did enjoy the art and civilization of cultures which they conquered for a time. Since virtually all advances of any kind are external to muslim civilizations, improvement from any new conquest tends to decay over time. Yes, the Jews have shown what can be done in a desert with effort, money and determination. Saudis have shown what can be done in a desert with a fat enough checkbooks. I hope you are wrong about our position in historical context. This causes concerned because these ideas fit with too many pieces of contemporary culture. Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it. Democrats however believe because the majority of contemporary historians are willing to misrepresent contemporary history to benefit Democrats that they are not controlled by it.
