Holly, I do that with the cell phone. It only goes on when I leave the house, but for household telephoning, we haven't found a cell phone with strong enough battery to last through some of the calls. My Son will start on a subject, has the habit of spitting out words like machine gun bullets, and the call still lasts 2 to 3 hours. For that, I need a land line. The greeting on my voice mail, is a version of Larry The Cable Guy's routine, and just ends up with "Git-R-Dun!!" You perform a sadly necessary function at the swap meets. There is English, and then there are variances that are, literally, out of this world.
