Democrats stand up for womens rights in all areas. One of the first moves Bush made in 2000 was to slash breast cancer research, his own wife's favorite cause. That gives you a clear idea. Also, the thought of a bunch of rightwing men telling women how they can use their bodies is just plain old-fashioned sexist. This stems from the religious right world where women are considered 2nd class citizens and objects of sin and desire. Par Robertson, for instance, won't even get on an elevator with a woman. Notice the Republican woman are two types, either the bleached blonde bimbo arm candy type, or the lifelong spinster church lady Harriet Myers type. There are some conservative housewives as well, though those are split pretty evenly.
