Ted, Alito, the asshole, said just yesterday that the Constitution allows the president to declare war......it does not.

You're exaggerating.

I am??? You know you need to start reading what's going on in the world. I am not exaggerating........headlines were blaring yesterday with the news. You and the other people who voted for Bush need to take your heads out of the sand, stop pretending that the mainstream media are screwed up and recognize what you have wrought instead of pretending the rest of us are lying or making it up, and the mainstream media is a vast leftwing conspiracy.

Besides, when was the last time Congress ever declared war on any nation? WWII? North Korea? It sure wasn't Vietnam or any other time after that.

Yes, and since Vietnam none of those conflicts were officially considered wars. Furthermore with the exception of Bosnia and the first Gulf war, the undeclared conflicts including and since Vietnam have been utter failures. That should tell you something but it won't.

I'm pretty sure Clinton, for example, didn't wait for an act of Congress before bombing Kosovo.

He tried to get Congress to agree. After Alito ascends power, American presidents won't have to make the attempt......they will engage in conflicts whenever they want.

Nobody gave Bush war powers except to invade Afghanistan and to use force as a last resort in forcing Saddam to disarm. No other powers were authorized, including any wiretapping without a warrant, especially against American citizens and political opponents of Bush.

But now we know that Bush was illegally wiretapping long before 9-11 though, so the 9-11/Al Qaida excuse is shattered. Bush is guilty of breaking a huge law. It's a very impeachable offense and he's already confessed to it on national TV. Bush is a criminal. He must be punished.
