"what the hell are we getting in the middle of it for?"

Seems to me we fought a revolution for liberty and other people got in the middle of that under much stroger protests about the ways things had always been ... up until that point. ... and even more so in the case of the American Civil War where so many put everything on the line for the sake of ... What exactly?

Lincoln was so criticised that he was clinically depressed throughout that period; well who wouldn't be, given what he had to bare for the sake of liberty.

The world is changing and we are all part of it, like it or not. There is no more 'over there' any more, as cultures have clashed and meshed. Look around you. This trend is going to rapidly continue to escallate until we are an almost indistinguishable culture of world society.

Its time for us all to lift up our heads and stand up for the kind of society we want for our selves and our progeny. Separate and isolated little realms is no longer an option.

We can all focus on the common good of humanity and walk into the future of a better world together. But we have to be standing upright to do that.
