Like I said, you seem unwilling to hold gov'ts responsible for their actions. The AU gov't wanted cheap labor so they invite foreigners to emigrate to AU knowing full well they will work for less money than native Aussies. Ten-20 years later, they are surprised when animosity is running high between blue color foreigners and blue collar Aussies and rioting breaks out. It was nearsighted gov't policy that created this mess........but you want to absolve the gov't of any responsibility because its people of your mindset that were behind the gov't, pushing for those misguided gov't policies. Just like its people of your mindset that were behind the mess in Iraq. So let's cut to the chafe. That's your reason for why you don't want to hold either gov'ts responsible for their misguided and incompetent behavior. You would only be criticizing people like yourself. If I owned a large plot of land, and I let you build a house on it, and then you where attacked by my neighbor, you would be the victim of the neighbor not my victim, despite the fact that without my actions you probably wouldn't have been a victim. The same holds true for the government of Australia. They didn't attack the Lebanese. The Lebanese are not victims of the Australian government. Government should be held accountable for its behavior, but not for other people's behavior, at least not when it didn't call for or encourage the behavior. Lets cut through the crap and forget AU..........people of your mindset are in control of this country and now it looks like you all will get what you want........a country much less democratic, much more cynical and much more corrupted. End of story. ted
