CJ, Or ones with 2500 or 5000 employees. I dunno. That is a Maryland concern.

The reason is because it's just a political stunt. If the Maryland legislature really cared about the common folk, they would have pushed the requirement onto any business employing Marylanders.

Wrong. Its common practice by state gov'ts to tax larger corporations more than smaller ones. For several reasons, one of which I have already given you.

Plus, there is a growing problem in this country where too many people are without health insurance. A problem the GOP Congresses under Clinton and Bush keep trying to ignore while lining their pockets with gov't money. How long do you think your guys can keep up this crap....stealing from the gov't and giving to the rich........and not have things get to the crisis level?

Health care in this country is in a crisis! It has been for quite some time. Maybe MD recognizes that fact and is sticking it to the Man because its the Man who has all the money. Other states are trying to do the same thing. WA state has a bill up right now. Something has got to give. Either the GOP recognizes a national health insurance program, or corp. need to pay their share. Its that simple.
