I felt it was spot on to delve into Kerry's record from 40 years ago, only because he was using that as a central issue in his campaign.

Otherwise, what old men did as teenagers is hardly relevant to what they stand for or don't as mature and seasoned adults.

I don't want to know about his old girl friends, who he drank with, how he behaved on leave in Korea as a 20 year old or anything else, that occurred in another time, circumstance, and culture. I say let it go. Let the man make his case pro or con on modern issues without all of that stuff, which to me is irrelevant noise.

The noise annoys me more than what Murtha has to say about Iraq. So far I don't agree with him, but the noise tics me off, a lot.
