Frankly, I am really surprised the hit Tyco is taking in its share price past few days. I have owned stocks in the past where the company divided its parts and each time I ended up doing very well. I know Tyco has issued an earnings warning but still even with the warning they should earn a combined $2 a share or better I think next year, the fundamentals regarding financial strength look good, the growth, while not what the market hoped for is still respectful. Yet, the price today seems to be about its 2 year low if I follow the chart correctly. I am going to watch this stock, I have a feeling that there could be a good opportunity developing here for a nice capital gain 2-3 years down the road (figure 2007 for the splitup and 2008-09 to show results). Anyone got any ideas how low it could drop from here? I think for instance at $20 I would find this stock irresistible. jdn
