search for "ginsburg standard" Just claiming she didn't answer questions doesn't make it so. True, there were several things she refused to speculate about. However, the things that were held to be the most controversial, i.e. her stance on abortion and equal rights, she explained in detail and at length what her stance was and why she took that stance. Alito hasn't done this. When questioned about things he had said in the past, he either claimed they didn't really reflect his own opinion for whatever reason, or he hinted that things might be different, without really taking a stance.
