At least the seducer promises "you will enjoy it". I don't think it will be quite as easy for the US as that. Iran has had a long time to get prepared and, with events in Iraq having turned out strongly in its favour, any attempt at rape will be met with the biting off of the rapists testicles, or worse. Furthermore, Iran has the economy of the world by the throat because if the Gulf of Hormuz is closed, as it will be in any conflict, there will be a major shortfall of oil supply with a consequent enormous rise in price. > Would they risk a war over it which can turn ugly and even nuclear very quickly? I'm sure Russia and China won't be that obvious as to invite an attack. Their support will be covert. > Do they trust the U.S. not go use nuclear weapons if things don't go their way? It's not a question of trust. They know the US is a coward and will attack only small and/or impoverished countries. Don't forget how the US cringed when the Chinese captured the US spy plane and begged to get it back.newsmax.com > Their complete passivity during the Balkan, Afghanistan and Iraq wars should surely make one doubt their commitment to Iran, should it not? Things were not so clear then as they are now. At the time, those seemed like local conflicts. Anyway, Iraq and Afghanistan are far from over and still represent thorns in the side of the US, especially Iraq, where it is unable to extricate itself from the mess. > Conversely it undoubtedly emboldens the US and demonstrates their status as the only "Super Power", able to impose its will through military supremacy. I'd say that still remains a dream. Sure, the US is a nation to be reckoned with but there can be no doubt that its present strategy will only cause it to lose more soldiers, more treasure and more world prestige. The US is on a path to ruin -- aided by its own government. As a gold investor, you know that better than anyone. I often make the analogy to the way a pack of hunting dogs hunt and kill a lion, especially when they detect signs of weakness. They test and challenge it all the time. They surround it. The lion does not know which one to bite first and becomes confused. One attacks its tail while another snarls in its face. Meanwhile another bites it on the leg. The lion kills one or two, severely injures a few others, but eventually the dogs win. I'm sure the US knows it can't win on its own, even with the Israeli fox and British snake at its side. That's why it's now resorting to the UN sanctions tactic to see how many other creatures it can bring into the conflict -- a conflict that benefits no-one except the Zionists, and I'm not even sure it benefits them.
