It is sad isn't it? I still think that the last optimistic decade in the US of A was the 1970s. After that, the culture of corruption and greed and selfishness really took hold and hasn't shaken us loose yet. The nastiness of Republicans is just the tip of this particular iceberg. Sometimes I cannot believe what I read coming through in their posts. They cheer for the deaths of innocent people and make money off of their misery. It's unbelievable. The IDEA of the US of A has been trampled on and beaten up so much, the country is no longer recognizable. The idea that we stand for justice and truth and equal protection and honesty and straightforwardness has been demolished. We may never get back to that IDEA. It's sad but we really may never get there again.
