Don't know much about, but it wouldn't surprise me..

'Tis often the case when Caudillos like Chavez justify their thievery in the name of "nationalism".

But it's power politics. He has the right to nationalize whatever he likes, but by international law he's obligated to compensate the private owners of the property, as well as pay compensation for all broken contracts.

Meanwhile, the national oil company's production has plummeted since he's been in office. Which of course is the reason the foreign companies are being looted.

Which he should have to explain to the Venezuelan people, were he truly accountable..

It's the political risk that US companies take when they deal overseas.

Bush is the thief. America made a deal with the taxpayer that there would be security in retirement after a lifetime of service and labor to the country. Now Bush wants to change the rates retroactively and reduce and or eliminate Social Security.

We can't secure our elderly folks and solve the homeless problem, but we can spend a trillion dollars bringing democracy to Iraq.

It's a matter of priorities. The American middle class and lower class people are not the priority of the Bush Administration.
