The stupid wedge issues which many rightwingers vote on only prove they are duped puppets of the Rovian spin doctors. DElay's own chief of staff called the religious right "wackos" in private. He paid Ralph Reed to deliver the "wackos" to defend one gambling casino against another. They were also counted on to spread rumors that McCain was a homosexual traitor, coward and whore-monger. These wackos are just self-defeating puppets of the big corporate money interests. Most of them are poor whites or middleclass and those corporate interests screw them every time. So anyone who votes based on abortion, gays, guns or God is an idiot. There are far bigger issues to worry about. Besides, centrist democrats are moderate on those four wedge issues. So there's even less reason to base your vote on them.
